Everyone, these are the groups for reading for our next meeting, Wednesday, November 21:
Group 1: Constantin, Lora, Alexandra, and Alexandra will read:
http://hagar.up.ac.za/catts/learner/1999/venter_jw/lro/theory/neob.htm
and check out:
http://science.jrank.org/pages/8448/Behaviorism-Neobehaviorism-1930-1955.html
The second one is longer, so you may not read it thoroughly, but it contains details, so it would be helpful.
Group 2: Maria K., Mihail, and Kiril will read:
http://www.funderstanding.com/behaviorism.cfm
and
http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/behaviorism/ until pt. 4 (Popularity of Behaviorism)
EDIT: The second entry is a little confusing, so you'd better choose an entry from one of the two other
groups. You may still read the second one for your group, but be careful because it contains additional information.
Group 3: Emil, Lazar, and Ivan will read:
http://www.funderstanding.com/behaviorism.cfm
and pt. 7 (Why be Anti-Behaviorist) from:
http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/behaviorism/
While reading, try to see which parts are explanations of principles and methods, and which include someone's attitude and opinion. Both parts are important, but you need to separate them.
Also, aim to understand the basic explanation of behaviorism at first. Then, consider additional information. At last, form your own opinion on the topic, so that you can share it with us.
That is all for now. Read your parts and see you on Wednesday!
